Archstone Consultancy Ltd is owned and operated by Roel Markvoort. I bring five years of experience in New Zealand’s construction industry and before founding Archstone Consultancy Ltd, I worked as a Sustainability Engineer for two leading building services consultancies. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Architectural Engineering from the University of Canterbury, and a Master of Science degree.
My expertise includes Building Code compliance for H1 Energy Efficiency, Designing Quality Learning Spaces, as well as advanced building modeling such as energy modeling, daylight and visual comfort analysis, thermal comfort and overheating risk assessments. Additionally, as a Green Star Accredited Professional, I have successfully guided numerous commercial, industrial, and retail developments to achieve their Green Star ratings.
Originally from the Netherlands, I am passionate about delivering high-quality, sustainable buildings. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and playing tennis.
